I saw this come up in another post topic...is texting without a texting plan possible? Someone mentioned that you can text over 3g/wifi. Is this possible and if so how do you do that?

basically yes u can text with email

unless you have push you wont receive responses as quick as an sms

its basically 10digitnumber@whateverprovider.com.net as the outgoing address
and then write in you msg as you would a regular email.
SMS however is limited by how many characters you input so be aware of that

it's basically the same if you want to send them an MMS from your iphone as well.
