Hi new Apple Watch user here. I’ve tried using Siri by raising and dictating which works well. But after it’s repeated the text to me and I say send, it doesn’t. I have to press & hold the crown then say send before it goes
Is this the way it’s supposed to work or am I do something wrong?

I *think* what happens is the message gets sent when you put your arm down, like you’ve finished with your watch (you then hear the send sound). At least, that’s how I got mine to send in the past...I noticed the same as you.

I have never tap Send or even know there is a Send button. What I usually do is tell Siri to text someone something and make sure she got it right then just put my hand down and after a few seconds she’ll send that automatically.

As mentioned above, or you can cover the screen with your other hand to put the screen to sleep and it sends it that way as well.

huh i never knew that, I just hit the crown and it sends it and puts it back to watch face. I was wondering how else to send without pushing the crown.

so I just put my hand down, it goes to watch face. I raise it after 30 seconds and the message still sits there. It doesn’t send right away, how long is this suppose to take once wrist goes down?

I never tried that method. It’s been stated by others. I use the hand over the screen method.

As mentioned, putting your hand down for some time will send the message automatically (it won't do it right away in case you change your mind).

When Siri is showing you the message that will be sent (e.g. "Okay, I'll send this"), you can just click the Digital Crown and the message will be sent immediately.

ya that’s what I have been doing and thought that was the only way. But not having to press it sounds good too. Anyone know how long the putting ur hand down method takes?
