Anyone know of one? I need a simple way to write and test some java code. I haven't found any apps that will compile it and test for errors like text pad for windows. I really don't wanna use eclipse to test out small blocks of code and I hate having to boot into windows all the time to use it for class.
Anyone know of any apps that will do that?

But any of these Apps mentioned above can they saved be on your Desktop just like MS-Textpad I think that is a biggest feature to have which sadly most of the Textpad substitute apps for the MAC do not have meaning you can't save them on your Desktop ! They keep lurking in your Application area :-((

There are lot of Text Pad Like APPS in Mac but none that you can save as on your Desktop is there any ? Even I would like to give it a try I need something which I can save it on my desktop area not in the application area Just like MS-Notepad works...
