Textured Backgrounds for Photos

I am looking to purchase an app to use on my macbook pro to change the images of some of my photos to one that looks something like you see in the link attached. This is not my photo by the way. Thanks for any input.

Gimp (free) and Pixelmator (Mac App Store (MAS)) can do that.

Cool, I have pixelmator didn't realize it could do that. Type for a pixelmator search on google and textured backgrounds. Thanks.
