I have a 13'' ultimate and I was wondering if it anyone knows how team fortress 2 and Portal would run on my air. Anybody tried these games? Also, any recommendations for a game worth downloading on the mac app store...

Click on Options, then Video, then Advanced. I don't think it saves between relaunches, though. Either that, or it just isn't saving for me because every time I try to quit, it crashes instead. (I suppose this is not ideal, but it isn't really problematic.) Had the same problem on my unibody Macbook.

It is supposed to and does save in between relaunches. Mine worked fine on my MacBook Pro and of course in Windows it works fine. I'd suggest verifying the integrity of your game cache and/or deleting and re-downloading TF2.

To the OP - Def. grab Steam, besides Portal and TF2 there are some other indy/fun games that will run on Mac and you can get them all on Steam. Wait for some of the Steam sales (summer, winter, random, and weekend) as you can get great values. Torchlight is a pretty fun game and runs on Windows and Mac.

2011 MacBook Air

Left for Dead 2 works really well....very smooth, except during particles (fire, explosions) it chokes a bit...but totally playable.

Assassins Creed Brotherhood is perfectly playable...some slight choppiness occasionally, but very acceptable frame rates....it gets REALLY hot tho!!! Like the keyboard starts to get hot!

I haven't tried any others yet...was thinking I would give Portal 2 a go!
