All iPads Tfr. files & apps from ipad mini to ipad air

I have 2012 iPad Mini & am getting iPad Air. Is there any way to transfer files, apps, & other info from the Mini to the Air? Sure would save me lot of time.

Back up your mini using iTunes. Then restore it onto your new air when you recieve it and bam. All done.

Back up the Mini to the iCloud or iTunes on your computer. When you get the Air do a restore and choose the Mini backup. Once done, you can click the name of the iPad air connected to iTunes and change the name.
