Tfr Movie Trailers to iMovie

splice

macrumors newbie
On downloading a Movie Trailer from the internet and saving it, it ends up as a WAFF file on my hard-drive.

Is there any way of importing it into iMovie (or any other software) in order to edit it?

The original file was downloaded as Quicktime, but on being saved, it ends up as a file that can only be opened from within Internet Explorer. It cannot be opened by Quicktime.

I am running a G3 iMac, with OS 10.1.5

I have attached a picture of the original download screen + file info (the file is called 'LR QT'

I think a WAFF file is an Internet Explorer archive file... i.e. a part of a downloaded file...? So maybe it is not complete...?

Do a Google search of WAFF file and Mac OS X, and you will find some info on it.

On another note: is it a possibility for you to get a copy of Mac OS X 10.2 (or preferrably 10.3)? It makes such a difference over Mac OS 10.1.x (speed, compatibility etc.)
