Greetings.

I'm about to buy a new iMAc (I'm a pc user now) and I need to know something before that. I've checked all the questions I needed in this forum and others, but there is still something that I couldn't find.

My problem is that I work a lot with TGA files. I have like 4000 files ordered in folders. In my pc, when I open a folder I can see the thumbnails of the TGA files inside and I don't have to open all the files. I can scroll my mouse to find the file I'm looking for.

I wonder if I can do that same with a new iMAc or I need an specific software to do that. Since many people use jpg or png files, it is hard to test a TGA.
Help appreciated.

Any image file that can be read by Preview or movie that can be read by QuickTime will show in thumbnails, Quick Look, the works. And yes, .tga is one of the supported formats.

It sounds like you could use a photo management system to organize those a bit, though. Aperture is absolutely fantastic.
