I am so happy about 7.0.3 on my iphone 4 that I've made this thread. The new reduce motion feature is sooooo great.

It works well on my 4S also. Loving the removal of the animations. My iPhone feels more snappy than it did on iOS 6.

Thats good because I noticed on my wife's iPhone 4 the animations were terrible especially when unlocking the phone. Does this update also help the settings app often becoming unresponsive to touch for 5 seconds at times?

Did the iPhone 4 have reduce motion from the beginning in iOS 7 (since it only really applied to parallax which the phone didn't support anyway), or was it something that was just added with 7.0.3 mainly to allow for animation control?

I wish this setting would remove the parallax and keep the animations on my 5S

No. Reduce motion wasn't available on iPhone 4 before iOS 7.0.3

Technically the option was listed in settings. But all it did was reduce the motion effect on the background. Skipping the zoom animations is new in 7.0.3.
i think the point is that there is no motion effect on the background in any case with iPhone 4.

I still have animations enabled, but feel overall it is faster on the iPhone 4 now.

Seems you can select items during transitions without actually having to wait for animations to fully complete

Does it just seem like that or is that actually the case somehow for you? Don't think Apple updates that part of animations in this latest update.

So 7.0.3 feels much better now but I sadly downgraded back to 5.0.1 because multitasking was still laggy, I wish they removed those animations too:(
