I am so happy about 7.0.3 on my iphone 4 that I've made this thread. The new reduce motion feature is sooooo great.
Reduce motion was there from the beginning. Has anything changed with the setting?
Did the iPhone 4 have reduce motion from the beginning in iOS 7 (since it only really applied to parallax which the phone didn't support anyway), or was it something that was just added with 7.0.3 mainly to allow for animation control?
No. Reduce motion wasn't available on iPhone 4 before iOS 7.0.3
So now that it is there as of iOS 7.0.3 I guess it's basically there to control the animations only, right? No. Reduce motion wasn't available on iPhone 4 before iOS 7.0.3

i think the point is that there is no motion effect on the background in any case with iPhone 4.Technically the option was listed in settings. But all it did was reduce the motion effect on the background. Skipping the zoom animations is new in 7.0.3.
Does it just seem like that or is that actually the case somehow for you? Don't think Apple updates that part of animations in this latest update.I still have animations enabled, but feel overall it is faster on the iPhone 4 now.
Seems you can select items during transitions without actually having to wait for animations to fully complete
