A friend just told me that she always say "thank you" after getting a good kiss. I've never said that to anyone before and find that it is sort of strange because kisses are two ways thing. Is this normal?

So have you ever say "Thank you" for a good kiss?

nope

I sometimes say thank you.

If I especially wanted one and my girlfriend picks up on it (she can read my mind) - I naturally kiss back but often say thank you because i know she was doing it mostly for me.

What a wierdo, shun her or make fun of her non conventional ways.

Hehehehe...yes, I agree completely. For extra effect, make her wear a symbol of her outcast nature, such as a pink triangle. :p

I have thanked someone for a nice kiss before. But I don't always thank. More when it was unexpected and nice. Not when it was two-way. :)

So, I think the point of her 'thank you' might be because your kiss made her heart flutter, sent dopamine shooting through her veins and, possibly, made her 'exceptionally'' happy for that moment in time. Or I guess if it really sucked she could be thanking you for stopping. :D

I've always preferred something along the lines of "that was nice" following a good kiss. :) "Thank you" makes it seem like the person did you a favor, as opposed to both of you getting something out of the experience.

After a good kiss, I tend to wake up before I can say anything. ;)

But I'd say that "thank you" - assuming it's not in a relationship, as others have discussed above - does more to indicate the poor quality of her previous kissers than the good quality of the current one.

However, it's far better than "have you considered mouthwash?" or "gee, was that your first kiss, or do you just suck?"

And, no, I've never heard those comments. Kissing always costs extra, and I gotta save my money for my Macs.

Is your friend a Gilmore Girls fan?

:D Guess what spawned the conversation!

And in her defence, she doesn't ALWAYS say thankyou, just when it's particularly special.

Hold off on ridicule ... instead consider carrying a tip jar and watch your Mac purchases fund grow. Pucker up!
