I was all set to drop NZ$1000 on a Series 3 Space Black Apple Watch, sight unseen. Except it turns out Apple isn't releasing the Series 3 with cellular connectivity in New Zealand.

So, I'll hold onto my S0 Apple Watch and my money until Apple pulls its collective head out of its collective arse.

Very tired of my country getting second-class treatment from this company.

It's not just $1000 NZ, you also need to add a plan. In the us it's an extra $120 USD per year....

The thing holding it back being sold will be partnerships with carriers that can support the electronic sim. Apple want to sell it everywhere for obvious reasons.

Apple could still sell the SS models in those countrys, though. They would just work as "regular" AWs without LTE. But I guess Apple didn't want to go to the trouble of having to explain that LTE wouldn't work there yet and/or be accused of false advertising.

But what is Apple’s fault is that they’re not releasing a space black ss without cellular. I have my phone with me all the time, I don’t need another device on my plan.
So the entire population of New Zealand is now angry at Apple, because you can't get the specific color you want on a watch... Now that's an ego I thought was only worthy of a certain american president.
