Thanks everyone for the advice so far.
I went to the apple store and compared the AG to the Glossy. In short, the glossy had slightly darker colors for blacks and grays which would have looked slightly nicer if I could not see my reflection in them. Its strength is also its weakness. The AG screen for me is beautiful and I don't think I can work off anything but AG. The bezel is personal preference, I like it luckily. The reflections on the glossy were horrible. The MBA looked beautiful though. MBP pane of glass is so annoying.
I'm going to pull the trigger tommorow on a MBP 15'' 2.2ghz AG but I have a few questions.
1) Harddrive - SSD or not? I have a gaming PC with 1TB maxed out and I'm already buying an external 1TB harddrive. Shall I go for the 500GB@7200RPM or a 120GB SSD? I heard that apple SSDs are way better due to the 3 years apple care and the fact they're fully comptabile with max OS AND have firmware updates direct for them? I'm an everyday user so I don't know how much the new SATA III drives will be of use to me... or shall I wait for 3rd party drives to drop in price?
My main problem is storage for media. Will an external USB 2.0 drive (or is there a firewire one available which also supports USB?) which can store 2TB interact with my SSD to give better performance than if the files were on a 7200RPM HDD? My gaming PC has 100GB towards games but I doubt I will game on the MBP. :|
2)Software - is it safe to just torrent the basics or should I buy them?
3)I'm going to presume the incase apple case is good enough?
4) Is there anything else I'm missing?
