I fully expected to enjoy the portability, the battery life and the power.

I expected the screen to be at leat as good as my MBP.

I did not expect the keyboard to be that much better; the MBP keyboard feels "mushy" in comparison; how much of that is down to design and how much is down to wear and tear, I have no idea.

The only thing I miss is the feel of the trackpad on the MBP. Other than that, I am transitioning my workflow to the MBA much faster than I thought I would.

I no longer enjoy using my MBP.

What year is the MBP? I assume the MBA is new but it would be nice to know which devices/keyboards you are comparing.

I'm surprised as well how much I really like my Macbook Air M2. I don't use it for gaming beyond a few odd Apple Arcade (I use consoles for gaming, much simpler, always has been), and love that it's so light. Most of the time it's plugged into an LG 24" UltraFine 4K but is able to move it so easily.

Both machines are in my signature line; there is a decade between the two of them.

Honestly I do not think I will be going back to a larger form factor ever again. This thing seems perfect.
Note: I may have said similar things about my MBP when I got it...
