Reader mode on Safari. When you switch into reader mode, it picks up exactly where you were on whatever you were reading. I think this is a good example of that ‘Apple magic’. I don’t know when exactly this was introduced, but I know it’s been around for a while. I appreciate it every time I use it, which is daily. Happy new year everyone, good vibes and happy times for 2026 xxx

This doesn't happen quite often. It very much depends on how the website was made. I do have to mention that this "Apple magic" doesn't feel very magical when Safari constantly reloads after I switch to a different app, and the website is back at the top of the page. Probably related to the website, but that still doesn't excuse the lackluster amount of memory.

In any case I typically don't use reader view, because then I can't keep the toolbar/top bar hidden, the pop up as soon as I slightly scroll back upwards.

It's good people still recognize these whimsical moments of magic are still very much part of the all-encompassing Apple experience. Any other company would reformat the content and dump you back at the top of the page. Apple never ceases to delight me.

Too bad we are forced to look out for these now while even the basic scrolling in 3rd party apps like reddit feels choppy compared with flagship Android devices.
