What brand is it again?

I need to know so I can note never ever to buy that brand of car.

I have not seen it but that could be since I record any of the very little TV that I watch and fast forward through the commercials.

I must be trippen, could have sworn I saw a similar saturn commercial...

All of the GM brands have their different variants of it... it plays at least 3x a commercial break here in WNY...

I must have seen that !@#$ commercial 50 times a night, and I don't even watch that much TV. I actually thought it was neat the first time.

At least the sale is over now, right? Right?!

That commercial is extremely annoying...

...yet another reason that I will never buy a Chevrolet.

Or Buick
Or Cadillac
Or GMC
Or Daewoo
Or Holden
Or Hummer
Or Opel
Or Pontiac
Or Saab
Or Saturn
Or Vauxhall
Or ...

Ugh... It was a little cool at first, but now that I see it like every 5 minutes when I watch TV, I HATE IT!!! I like GM and all, but ugh... go back to real commercials instead of the commercial-equivalent of syndication.

(Wow, big words!!!!)

Not buying a product because of a commercial is stupid. I guess I won't buy a Mac because I hate the Mac vs PC ads.

And this has to be the first case of commercial rebadging I have seen. As mentioned, Chevy, Saturn, and GMC from what I have seen has this very same theme.

Chevy is notorious for spewing out bad commercials and replaying them over and over in the same break. Just look at that "This Is Our Country" advert that was all over the place not too long ago. I hate that commercial I hate Chevy and now I hate John Mellencamp.

I can think of a tremendous number of far-worse commercials that play all the time here in Peoria:

"Head on - applied directly to the forehead."

"I'm thinking of a number - do you know what it is? It's my credit score, and it happens to be 720!"

"Oh no, where did I park my car? Oh dear..." (cheap voice recorder commercial)

"Milk juice butter and eggs." (commercial for same product as above)

"Head on - I hate your commercial but your product is great."

"The Vill-a-ges, Florida's friendliest home-town."

"Thanks hoverround!"

"Hi. I can't make it tomorrow. Bye." (beginning of a really stupid dentist commercial)

Why did you hate it? Because it used 9/11 and Katrina? Why are Americans so easily offended? Rammstein based a song off of an event that happened in Germany back in 2002. I don't hear Germans crying foul. If they played the song, " Amerika" here, I bet they will be called Nazi's because it is in a way an Anti-American song. While it is your right as an American to show your distaste over that ad, I just wish we can have ads that have controversial things and not have people complaining and then the companies have to pull it. ie: GM's Robot ad, the kids driving the Corvette ad, and the snickers ad comes to mind.

I know most of my post doesn't exactly relate to you. Just going on a rant. Sorry.

No I hated it for the same reason that the O.P. hates his advert. Because companies like Chevy decide to bombard viewers with poorly develeoped and poorly produced commercials every time you turn on the T.V. It nothing to do with John Mellencamp unfortunately just like any song that is overplayed I have begun to hate it. Especially now whenever I hear the tune I cant help but think of Chevys stupid trucks...

Out of curiosity, which Rammstein song is this? I cant remember any major events in Germany in 2002 :\

Then it was a good ad then. It got you thinking about the Silverado.

PS: The song is titled, " Mein Teil". It isn't a big event like 9/11 and Katrina was. It was just a very disturbing event.....

Clap on clap off the clapper.

Ah, OK. I knew about Mein Teil, one of my favorite songs, and I knew what it was about. It didn't just really come to mind, I thought you were talking about a huge event.
