Hey guys, not sure if you can help me out on this one or not, but since ATT has released all of their specs on the iphone 3G launch, it reads that "Only 1 phone per person in line." However, I have a Corporate Business account and am the CRU and IRU with 2 lines activated on the family plan. Wife has other. I was wondering, why wouldnt they let me sign 2 contracts on 2 iphones 3G? My wife will be in surgery all day and Ive been the chosen one to stand in line. So, furthermore, I called ATT Small Business and spoke to my online premier account specialist, I explained to him the situation and he annotated my account that I would be allowed to purchase 2 iphones on my family talk plan on both accounts as long as I sign 2 contracts. He said that any questions at the corporate store, just refer them to my account notes under special instructions and it clearly states the allowance. So perhaps, the rest of you CRUs who have premier may be able to do the same. Cheers!

My account specialist didnt state anything about proving that she was in surgery, he told me that he annotated my account and that if the corporate store gives me any problems, to just have them refer to my account instructions or for me to call him directly.

Oh, and she's not on the operating room table, or otherwise, I wouldnt be in line for a phone. Wife more important than a iphone 3G. She's a surgeon.:D

Yeah good luck getting them to do that.

The 1 per person limit is there for a reason. It makes no sense to have it if some yokel talks to people on the phone and puts in the record that it is okay for them to get more then 1.

In the rush of the first day, I would say it is much less likely.

If you really need to get more than 1 phone and want to do this, why not wait a few days so you don't cluck it up for the rest of us? Just sitting there debating the issue with you will waste time that could be used for others to get phones.

Not trying to "cluck" it up for the rest of you, I simply called my account specialist, explained the situation, and he said not a problem. He was very knowledgeable about the lauch. And Im not trying to create problems in the line, I was just want an expeditous activation just as you all.

I asked specifically if they'll honor the annotation in my account. He told me the CSR would initially tell me "No" at first then ask to speak to the manager and then upon reading the notes further and calling Premier, would honor it as corporate stores and premier online accounts are separate entities. He told me that they would honor it.

I really highly doubt they will let you purchase two... I say instead of banking on a note in your account... just bring a friend with you.
