To all of the Pro wannabe's, we can now have the status for less! :apple:

A hands on with the $1199 model!:D

Not to really be a jerk, because I only play one on tv, but I hardly consider a 13" MBp owner a wannabe MBP owner.

my girlfriend wants a macbook. This is a stellar move on Apples' part. She wanted a blackbook, but after student discount, pretty smokin deal!

I was gonna get a 15 incher to replace my SR MBP, but I think I will get the 13 inch. Probably will go get it tomorrow.

Other than screen size and physical dimensions, what are the differences between the 13" & 15" MBPs?

I was wondering if anyone else was excited about now being a "pro" user. I plan on buying a 13" macbook pro this month. It will be my first macbook pro! Wow, call me crazy, but I'm very exited that the screen bezel is going to say MacBook Pro. Hahaha, and for less money than before! Apple is amazing.

Exactly what I'll be doing in a month or two :D

Except I'm gonna dish out the extra $70 for the 16 GB ipod.

I'm doing that too & then plan on selling it :) If I can get like some $$$ from selling it, makes my MBP even cheaper :) No need for a touch when i got a iPhone! WOOT

i would freakin love a new 13" macbook pro. i have a blackbook from 2006...just got the top lid replaced because it was cracked so it looks spiffy new. do you think it has good resale value?

The "pro" label shouldn't be a big deal. Mac users who've owned many Apple laptops have moved from PowerBook to iBook to MB/MBP/MBA for different reasons. But I guess this is the first time the price difference has been so little ($200)?

If They squeezed a 9600M GT in there, i would be very jealous :p

My 'Classic' MacBook Pro is just fine, but i think Apple have made a good move today.

Will be ordering the high end model with a 500gb hard drive later this month!

I think its a smart marketing move on apple's part. They kept trying to differentiate the two models but with the unibody line, it was increasingly difficult. If you can't beat them, join them and that's what apple did.

I'm getting it as soon as I see some reviews and sell my MBP. Apple has fixed all the things wrong with the 2.0 MB (crappy screen, no firewire, no backlit keyboard) and I'm really excited to get it! I want to get the very low end.
