Not really a noticeable difference. Both are better than iPhone 5s (800/1).

They are different sized screens with different resolutions(and possibly different manufacturers). They're not the same screen, so the specs will be different. I'd have to see them side by side, but the difference in contrast ratio probably isn't noticeable. I mean, even the rMBP has a contrast ratio of about 1000/1.
