I finally got to touch a 6 today in my local Verizon Store after not wanting to deal with Apple Store crowds yesterday and Best Buy not having display models up (insane, I know, and at 8:00pm central!). I have to say that it's not as big and awful as I thought, and I could probably get used to it. The rounded edges are very nice, I almost wish my 5 had them! I'd hate to put a case over those edges, but it's a bit slippery, and I'm a klutz. Holding it with one hand does involve some hand shifting that I'm not used to, but it's comfortable to just hold. I'll have to spend more time with one to test out typing and other tasks. Also, the Space Gray looks good! It's tempting to choose it over the Silver even though all of my other Apple products are silver. Gold isn't for me.
I did pick up the 6 Plus, and boy, that thing is ridiculous!
It's definitely not for me. Props to those of you who can lug that thing around.
So if you have a 5, 5c, or 5s and aren't sure about the bigger 6, it's not that bad if you aren't a diehard one-handed user. Even 4 or 4S owners could probably get used to it. If you find you don't like it, there's still the 5s available for a little while.
