Ok so...

The only thing that was changed on the ipod touch was a faster processor and only the 32gb and 64gb models had this change.

So this said, the 8gb ipod did not change at all?

Didn't the 8gb touch not even get a price drop?

SO PRETTY MUCH, APPLE DIDN'T MAKE ANY CHANGES TO THE 8GB TOUCH? THEY ARE JUST REPACKING THE 2G 8GB TOUCHES AND PACKING THEM IN A NEW BOX AND SHIPPING THEM OUT?

GF. NOW WHEN WE BUY THE 8GB IPOD TOUCH 3G ALL WE GET IS A NEW BOX THAT STATES ITS 3G.

THANKS APPLE FOR TAKING A YEAR TO DEVELOP A 3G BOX.

"WHY DO YOU TYPE IN ALL CAPS. IT HELPS NOT ONE BIT."
Mkay, now that that's done.

There was a price drop, $229 into $199.

Thanks Apple, i've waited 1 year for an un-necessary speed boost and a $20 price drop! My waiting has finally paid off.

well then get the 16 gb ipod touch for the price of the new 8gb ipod touch over at the refurbs and be happy :p

Really? I can't find that upgrade in the online spec sheets. Especially for the 8GB model.

The 8gb got nothing new except for 20 bucks off and comes with 3.1 OS.

Only the 32 and 64 gigs actually get the faster processor and headphones with mic

Correct, it only got the small price decrease. Only the 32/64 got the upgraded processor and a few other minor features such as voice control.
