Perhaps it means "winging" as in "throwing" as in "throwing crap at the guy with the remote".
It doesn't say "Girlfriend" on it. Might be for mothers, grandmothers, the family hamster, etc.. One must not assume.

Is that a Queen's English spelling of "whining?" Seems to have the same meaning. Or is it just a similar word with a distinct (though very similar) meaning?

Guess it must be UK slang...As discussed above, I think it should say "stop whingeing" (pronounced "winjing").
