After some pretty good adverts* the Apprentice starts tonight. I must admit I love these types of programs and already have a series link set up.

Long list of candidates to start with but from the short bios I am liking Rocky Andrews. Unfortunately I am at the cinema tonight so will have to watch it quite late on.

Last series thread

*Seems to be very Cadbury like in my opinion.

Love the show. Can't wait to catch it tonight!
As with all reality shows I thought the first series was the best. Even wrote my thoughts on the first series when it aired and received comments from some of the contestants. Now they all just want to be on TV for the sake of it, but meh.

I think with these reality shows you get worse contestants every year and the quality tends to drop but the Apprentice has never disappointed me. I can't wait!

ahhhhh, you can always rely on Apprentice candidates to deliver unparalleled states of delusion, bollocks and outright stupidity. God bless them, each and every one :D :p

As usual in the first week both teams delivered in terms of poor planning, lack of leadership, substandard execution and generally appeared to be terrible. Give it a couple of weeks and the semi-decent candidates will make themselves known.

I thought the girls probably deserved to loose as they failed to work as a team and spent the entire budget without any control or thought. But I thought the boys were also a bit silly. Why give up on the shoe cleaning when the PM claimed they'd taken £70 in an hour. The start-up costs for that must have been low and a few more hours at that rate and they'd have been so far ahead of the girls...

It would be a complete nightmare to have to work with any of those people.
No, no, no... grubby little oiks us don't work with them, we work under them. They are Britain's brightest, most dynamic young business types, remember? ;)

I've said before when discussing The Apprentice – the genuinely enterprising folk in the country wouldn't go anywhere near this show. They're too busy building their own businesses and forging their own futures, rather than relying on a TV show to get them a job working for someone else's company.

Which is good, because this way we get to see some over-inflated egos get punctured. :)

Damn I forgot about it lol.

I did miss the last season completely. The Apprentice, both US and UK have both kina lost their novelty, that said I'm gonna follow both this year since I haven't watched any in a long time.

i was a bit disappointed at this first episode..
wasn't as entertaining...

how many people does it take to wash a car? now I know the answer!!! 7!! lol..

at least the right person went... that Anita was a waste! plus she just looked "funny" :p

As soon as she said we are under budget I thought you have no idea what you are doing and you are right in the firing line.

Series take a little while for the characters to come through. In the first exercise everyone is just trying not to be the first to go and as such the dialog is pretty dry.

And to be fair I doubt that all 7 were working on one car.

This is the dilemma. I thought they should stay on that patch as well. However as shown in the last series with the car rental service sometimes it is best to go for the low turn over / high value items rather than the low value / high turn over.

I thought it was funny when one of the girls was saying "we didn't want to appear desperate" I'm sorry when you go in with a quote of £300 and end up coming away with £120 you are clearly desperate.

The female project manager was almost cracking up in the board room. Anita should've kept her mouth shut. If she hadn't talked so much in the boardroom she would've stayed and the project manager would've gone.

She even looks miserable in her publicity shot

You're right she has a massive skewed face and looks a lot like the male project manager from this week
