Saw this on the Apple discussions forum. Is this how it works? seems like there'd be a way around it if it is.

it seems so, my "other" arear just grew 90mb on my summary page.

have paid for updates, just have to wait to get home to sync and have them installed. I hope (as don't wanna sync with work computer and have to redo all my music)

if so, I wonder how soon before someone hacks the update to get the apps for free...
