As there's quite a few UK and Aussies types on MacRumors I'm surprised no one has started a thread (or I couldn't find it)

Anyway. What a great start to the series, a close call from Australia.

Hope it sets the series up for 4 more exciting tests. Pity there isn't one at my home ground of Edgbaston this year.

Yes, what great entertainment.

I don't have Sky so it's wireless (in the 1930's sense as opposed to the wifi sense) only here. I'm feeling a bit lost here without Aggers and Tuffers burbling away in the background about cakes.

Never watched or even taken the slightest bit of interest in cricket before, however this year I seem to be glued to BBC Sport reading live Ashes updates, then watching the highlights on Sky!

Maybe it's just the feeling of beating the Aussies again off the back of a great Lions tour... :p

I hate cricket, but I have to hand it to England, they've got a quality side. The Australians are awful. You'll get destroyed in the Rugby League World Cup though. Actually... maybe not, Tomkins and the Burgess brothers are insanely good players. It'll depend on the English halves, if they stand up, Australia could lose another WC.
