OK, so this is for everyone who wants to know anything about the new iPhone 3G. And I do mean anything. From the box size compared to the original to the sound quality to why only one speaker works. I will personally answer any questions you would like to ask.

I'm doing this to try to cut down on all the separate threads each asking a different question.

Ask away!

I have 3 questions.

1. What is the box size for the original iPhone and the 3G?
2. How does the sound quality compare from the original to the 3G?
3. Why are TWO speakers working on my iPhone when you say only ONE should work? Which one shouldn't work: the ear piece or the speakerphone?

Why haven't the first 3 questions been answered yet ?
I'm dying to know too. :D

My questions :
Why do you want to try to cut down on all the separate threads each asking a different question ?
Why so serious ?

1. It's apple- small.
2. Apparently, it is slightly better
3.They mean on the bottom. If you look on the bottom, there are two meshed holes, and many thought that they were both speakers, although one is a mic. They didn't count the ear piece as a speaker.

My question: why dont you count where I put my ear as a speaker? What makes the bottom speaker qualify as one and not the top one?

Agreed.

This thread is ridiculous. It's as if you're trying to create another sub-section for this forum. MacRumors has multiple subsections to organize the fourm, this is where the iPhone section is...for iPHONE QUESTIONS. Therefore, your cause is pointless and stupid....because their is a sub-section already dedicated to iPhone questions/information...and you're just trying to create a sub-section within a sub-section...which is retarded.

My question is, do you realise that there is zero chance of this working the way that you want it to?

Was on the toilet having phone sex and cruising my favorite Internet porn sites (isn’t 3g great) when I became excited and dropped my iPhone in the toilet. I fished it out and tried to turn it on (hoping my phone sex call didn’t get cut off). It would not come on so used the cook in in pot of rice over night I had heard about. After the rice came to a boil I removed the iPhone and it still would not cut on so I bashed it against a brick wall and cracked the screen. Before I take it to the Genus bar to have it replaced under warranty I was wondering if Apple would exchange my 8GB for 16GB since I’ve had so many problems? Also I plan to sell the new one on ebay for $1500 and then go back to the Apple store and get another for $299. This won’t be a problem?

How did the rice turn out? If you cooked it all night I bet it was too sticky.
