I have an factory unlocked iPhone 4. It was running untherered jailbroken 5.0.1. I did a manual backup then did a factory restore upgrade to 5.1.1.

When I try to restore the settings from backup, no matter what I do, it keeps saying "iTunes could not restore because the backup was corrupt or not compatible with the iPhone that is being restored." and it will not let me restore the iPhone settings from backup.

I used time machine and replaced the backups in application support with a previous backup from 2 weeks ago and I'm still getting the same error message. "the backup is corrupt or not compatible with the device."

Is there a way to fix this?
