I've download a 1080p movie
and I've used imovie to make a subtitle
but after I put it out
I've found that the quality of the new one is very bad although it is 1080p

what can I do to make it be better?

You could tell us what format and codec the source has, what steps and settings you used to import it into iMovie, what steps and settings you used to export it and what format and codec the finished video has.
And what iMovie version and Mac OS X version you use could also be beneficial information.

Before we don't know this information, we can't really help you.

I am sorry for that
As I am the first time to come to this forum, sometimes I'll miss any important information but I'll try my best

I imported the video in .mp4 and add subtitle by imovie.

After I finished that, I exported by quicktime player in .mp4

My mac is 10.6.3 (mac mini)and imovie 09

So it uses the H264 codec. Open the source and finished file in QuickTime Player and press CMD+I to get the Inspector and see more details.

You can make a screenshot of that window via CMD+SHIFT+4 , then hit SPACEBAR and click on the window. The screenshot will be saved as a .png file on the Desktop.

And again, what are your import settings in iMovie and what steps do you take? Do you use Full or Large as an option?

What do you mean you "export by quicktime player"? Don't you use iMovie to export the finished video?
