For those who want to go Sim Only - I think these are decent :)

Obviously it depends on your usage, but I think they're good.

I'm now deciding on which Sim Only contract to get, currently stuck between:

Vodaphone - 12 months - £10.50 a month (You're saving £5, ends after Sept 30th)

300 minutes
500 mb + 750mb bt openzone
unlimited texts

Thee - 12 months - £6.90 a month

200 minutes
5000 texts
500mb

Three - 12 months - £12.90 a month

200 minutes
5000 texts
All you can eat data

Money is rather tight, so at the moment, I'm edging towards the vodaphone contract.

If you go for the three 6.90 one you can add on a bolt on after called AYCE which brings the total to 9.90 and you get unlimited data. I've just done this. Apparently you're not bothered about cashback. But I sorted mine for 50quid back so over 12 months that's 5.77/month instead of 9.90 . But you don't want cash back do you lol. If it's free why not just take it?????

By going through Virgin mobile retentions I've ended up with 30 day rolling contract 1500 minutes 2500 texts 1500 landline minutes 1GB data for £9. 1GB has been lasting me about 3 months and I'll never even use a half of the minutes and texts so I'm happy with the deal. :)

I never used more than 1gb on o2, and had unlimited data. But I was using an iphone 3g, and had turned 3g off most the time as it drained my battery . Now with the new iphone I can see myself using a lot more data!

Cashback isn't free though is it?

And what is AYCE, is it three related?

Oh, where can I find this!

TopCashback is free? Yes! If your going to buy the contract online, then your gaining money? It doesnt make sense NOT todo it?

Yes cashback is free. You're getting something for nothing. I think only Google can help you out now lol....

I'm currently debating the same!

I'd need more data tho, as i use that loads more than minutes, and texts!

i've been looking at T mobile plans,
Business sim only tariff,
500 mins
250 texts (plus a text bolt on)
plus internet booster
£14.34 per month 12 month plan tho.

Or 3...

200 mins
5000 texts
all you can eat data
£12.90 per month.

I went into tesco today to talk to them, and the guy basically said, if 3 doesnt have a 3G signal, it stops working. as there is no 2G on 3...

Also, thinking about the future, will T-mobile add money on for 4G or will it just start working?

i'm a firefighter, so been looking for firefighter discounts too, I think T-Mobile do 15% off too! I know vodafone do 20% off....

Thoughts on those?

Existing 3 Customers can get All You Can Eat Data too!

You can upgrade your current 3 contract to all you can eat Internet for £3 a month, so you don't have to lose out on all that lovely data!

I'm interested to know about this three issue. When there's no 3g signal you're in a dead end. Any experience guys?

If I log on to my my3 its says the AYCE bolt on is £5 so £11.90 a month. How did you get it for £3?

*There are two types of AYCE add ons. One is £3pm and gives you unlimited data. You cannot remove this add on until the end of the contract term (12 months)The second one is £5pm and gives you AYCE unlimited data for 30 days, this can be removed and added whenever you need it. (this is better for people who rarely use 500mb and want to stay on the £6.90pm version.*

Ah, I see, thank you. That sounds pretty good.. I think I might do that, do you just check your account and add it on?

With three, do you get the bt hotspot though?

And what is this about signal?

Yes you can either phone them or do it online. You don't get bt hotspot but with unlimited data no need really.

To be honest I've not had a chance to test signal. I've literally just left o2 this week after 12 years. Maybe someone who's been on 3 for a while can chime in.
