if i may ask, how did you manage this? did you get a $100 rebate? or just the $229? or are you just that good at wheelin and dealin?

cause i must say, i am very intrigued by this offer...

Considering that the OP bought the unit 11 days ago, and that the white macbook was recently updated, I have a feeling that the origin of the extra $100 discount stems from the fact that the processor, hard drive, and RAM speed were recently upgraded. Hence instead of returning it, I bet the Apple store offered him the extra 100 bucks. Regarding the iPod Touch, I would bet that they just gave him an 8 GB touch free of charge (to compensate for the $229 rebate)

Since you're still within your 14 days, I would have returned it and go the newer specced one, but that's just me.

...I'm hopeful our base PX reduces the pricing on the NIB 2.0 whitebooks with this new update...

If Apple just gave him the 8GB touch, if he doesn't open it, return it then he can swap it out for a larger model...

I had the "older" model that came out before the new 2.13 core2duo one...

So the people at Delaware offered me the new one for exchange or $100 in credit

They sold me the ipod for 129 dollars instead of 229 dollars... And then I'll get $229 from the rebate

Its amazing!

**Plus, I paid no tax, cause i bought it from Delaware!
