It hasn't been touted much but Jony Ive wasn't exaggerating or hyperbolizing at all about this new thinner screen that minimizes the barrier between us and the screen.
Color icons on a darker background are so lush that it literally feels like touching a high res magazine article. The way it feels muted but not in a dull way.
Its not a glossy screen but it still feels shiny.
Saying it has more pop is an understatement. The edges, the zoom mode, and everything about the way the screen feels aesthetically is a grand slam home run.
I think its the most significant break-through in technology in the last 5 years.
