Amazon is back with its annual summertime Prime Day event, lasting for just two days from July 16-17. As it does every year, Prime Day offers shoppers a huge selection of deals across Amazon's storefront, including savings on tech, clothing, video games, groceries, and much, much more.

Note: MacRumors is an affiliate partner with Amazon. When you click a link and make a purchase, we may receive a small payment, which helps us keep the site running.

For our coverage, we're focusing entirely on discounts for Apple and Apple-related products that can be purchased right now on Amazon. As of today, this includes deals on AirPods, Apple Watch, iPad, MacBook Air, and more. We're also sharing deals being matched at retailers like Best Buy in some cases.

As is typical for Prime Day deals, these markdowns are very time sensitive, so sales listed below may disappear fast, and new ones may appear even faster. With this in mind, we'll keep this article updated over the next few days, and keep an eye on the MacRumors front page as we'll be posting particularly great deals in separate articles next week.

Lastly, and perhaps most importantly, Amazon Prime Day requires you to have an Amazon Prime membership to take advantage of the discounts. Amazon Prime costs $14.99 per month or $139.00 per year, and it comes with a 30-day free trial for new subscribers.

AirPods

Starting with AirPods, you'll find a wide selection of solid deals across the AirPods lineup on Amazon during Prime Day. Prices start at $119.00 for the AirPods 3 ($50 off), then increase to $168.99 for the AirPods Pro 2 ($80 off).

Both of these are great lowest-ever discounts on each model of the AirPods, beating previous record lows by up to $20. We're also tracking the AirPods Max at a discount during Prime Day, available for $394.99, down from $549.00, another all-time low price.

Apple Watch

Series 9

You can get up to $120 off most Apple Watch Series 9 models right now on Amazon, starting at $279.00 for the 41mm GPS watches. We've rounded up all of the deals below, focusing on the aluminum devices, but you can also find $100 discounts on a few stainless steel models as well.

SE

Apple's 40mm GPS Apple Watch SE is available for $169.99 today on Amazon, down from $249.00. This is a new all-time low price on the wearable. This deal is available in all three aluminum color options, and only Amazon has the discount.

You can also get the 44mm GPS Apple Watch SE on sale right now, available for $199.99 on Amazon, down from $279.00. This is another new record low price on the Apple Watch SE for Prime Day.

M2 iPad Pro

Over at Best Buy, today you can find some of the biggest discounts on the M2 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro that we've seen in months, including both Wi-Fi and cellular tablets. A My Best Buy Plus/Total membership is not required to see these discounts.

With such steep savings, these previous generation iPad Pros are worth looking into purchasing for anyone who wants to prioritize saving money over owning the newest M4 iPad Pro. There are some major differences between the two generations, like the M4's support for Apple Pencil Pro and a new nano-texture display option, so be sure to read about which one works best for you in our Buyer's Guide.

That AP Max price is really tempting, but we’re too close to a possible refresh.
I agree. Part of me wants to bite the bullet, but I know I'll regret it as soon as the next gen come out. Although, if the next gen doesn't come out for another year and a half, I'll be pretty mad.

If the refresh comes out in a year and a half, you pass on the sale now, and end up buying next year during a sale, you’d only have a few months of the current model being, well, the current model.

Do what will make you less mad, lol.

The "Matched at BestBuy" disclaimer is only half true. You need to be a BestBuy Plus member, which costs roughly $50/year. If you don't already hold that membership, you'll need to add it to your cart to gain additional savings.

For example: MacBook Pro 16" is really $500 off + $200 member savings -$50 for membership = $650 in savings. Whereas, with Amazon you can get the full $700 discount with a free Prime trial or if you already have a membership (which most people do).

Just for grins, I verified with my own two eyes that many of the "deals" Amazon is offering on Prime Day aren't really deals at all. They will claim a 20-30% or more in savings for a given product, after the temporary price hike of course, which in reality will equate to buying it for the exact same price as before or maybe you will save $1 off. Killer deals for sure!!! 😂

I bought some Apple products on Amazon once and they were faulty in subtle ways that I was lucky to catch within the return window. Replacements had the same issues. Never again.

Was hoping for an Apple TV deal as I have an Amazon voucher waiting to be spent, but the buggers are only selling that full price. Guess I'll wait for the next gen one now then...

Imagine realizing you waited 5 years for that "just around the corner" refresh and having it turn out to be a USB-C port and maybe a battery time bump. Rumours have always pointed to a minor update, whenever that happens. I say if you want them and have an opportunity at a great price, just buy them! I can't imagine a change that will make me regret having bought mine.

I agree to an extent. But the Max are going on 4 years, and rumors suggest an upgrade -- however minimal -- is within the next 5 months. And I've promised myself no more lightning or micro-USB cables will enter this house. I wasn't ready to fork over the money for these until this year, so I'm going to wait it out.

Or, you realize after 5 years, you don't need it at all.

Yeah, because we all know that AP Max always sell for $394, but Amazon first bumped up the price to $549 to make it look like a big discount on Prime Day.

That is why I said "many of the "deals" Amazon is offering on Prime Day...". But, thanks for mentioning that absolutely unbelievable deal on the 3.5 year old AirPods Max. 🙄

Were they Amazon Renewed? I've definitely heard pretty mixed things about that. Got a Magic Keyboard that was like new but many of the reviews were somewhat sideways about condition.

Otherwise if they're brand new Apple boxed products it really is no fault of Amazon. It's not as if Apple allocates known faulty stock to 3rd party retailers.

There are some things I don’t know the price for. Like clothing… who knows if it’s a deal. But I know how much apple products cost. I know the low prices. I can track the prices of items I don’t know on CCC.

Was in need of a cellular Apple Watch for my kid and picked one up today and saved $95 with Apple Care. No brainer. Would have bought it full price a week ago if not for the sale.

I don't see the t $274.99 for 64GB Wi-Fi for the 10th Gen iPad on Amazon. I'm guessing it was just for a very limited amount of quantities?

I purchased this iPad yesterday under the "Early Prime Day Deals" "promo" at $329 thinking since this was an early prime day deal that this was the discounted price you could get early before the official Prime Days start. Ordered it yesterday, was delivered within an hour. Then today I find out the price dropped to $299. argh! Instead of giving me a credit of the difference, they need me to do a full return and purchase another one with the discounted price to take advantage of it. So that's what I'm doing. Such a hassle. Lesson learned never to take part of the Early Access Prime Deals.

Keep checking. I saw last year that they held some discounts for the second day. Really not cool if you look on Day 1 and see an item you want isn't discounted and figure it won't go on sale so you buy it. Then you see the next day that they put it on sale just for Day 2.
