What would be the best way to save and store TV Shows that i would be downloading from itunes?

I ordred a new macbook pro from apple which i hope will get here i hope in 10 days. It only has 100GB which is plenty but i will be buying lots of TV Shows and i dont want to fill it up. Whats the best way to keep it off my laptop HD but keep it stored somewhere (external HD or blank DVD's) and get easy access to it.

I am sorry if this does not belong here but i have no idea which section i should put this. Thanks.

As you suggested get a external hardrive. Then have the iTunes Music folder kept on the external. This is done through the iTunes preference. The main problem is you won't have your music on your laptop. Unless you uncheck the option to manage the folder your self. Thus allowing for music to be managed separately from your videos. Just realise that you need to put the music in a particular folder, so it does not appear all over your hardrive. Likewise the video's.

I'm sorry I really did not make to much sense.
