Hey all.

Like many others, I am about to choose between the most powered up MBA and the most powered up MBP (13").

I am really turned on by the smoothnes, stilth and weight of the MBA, but I am worried the processor won't be enough to deal with Ableton Live - Both recording but mostly for Live performance using more than one plug-ins, sample-shooting and backtrack. Anyone with any experience in that area?

Thanks...

I don't have any experience with an MBA using Ableton Live, but you get much more power and RAM (up to 16GB) with an MBP. You also have the Firewire and Thunderbolt interface, which will come in handy once you use external sound devices or HDDs (as scratch drives).
But the resolution of the 13" MBA is bigger than the MBP's, which is a plus to. I couldn't work with less than 1440 x 900, though I prefer bigger resolutions anyway.
What about the High-Res (1680 x 1050) 15" MBP?
