Other The Blue was ugly until it wasn't.

I capitalized on Best Buy + T-Mobile's awesome deal last week. Unfortunately the only color around me was the blue iPhone 13.

I was sort of bummed out because I thought the color was ugly. It felt dull.

But the more I look at it, somehow I appreciate it so much more. It's really kind of beautiful in a way. I remember feeling the same thing when the first gold iPhones came out - a lot of people panned the decision and thought it was corny that Apple released their phones in gold, me included. But as time went on, it actually became my favorite color.


Apple does such a fantastic job with colors in a way no one else would. I feel like they ride that line between and take a perfect amount of risk and a whole lot of R&D to develop great colors for their products.

I prefer the pacific blue of 12 pro over sierra blue. It looks kinda not-bluish.

The only iPhone that I right away fell in love with was the Yellow XR - I never got it but I absolutely adored that one.

Same. I had a blue 12 but when I upgraded to the 13 I went to black because the newer blue looked too light to me. Purely subjective, obviously!

But also the phone lives in a case 99% of the time so the only color I see is around the camera bump and I guess a thin little area around the bezel that peeks through slightly.

Apple colors are really solid. Some you fall in love with right away, others slowly over time. They really think things through.

I think the Sierra Blue this year is very, very nice.

The blue iPhone 13/12 regular/mini is the most stunning colour I have seen on any phone. It’s a shame I didn’t realise that before purchasing the black version of the 12 Mini, hahah. I keep it in an Otterbox Defender case for anyway so it doesn’t matter too much… switching to the green Apple Silicone case next week though to freshen up the look.

Pacific Blue last year and the Sierra Blue are an instant decision for me right there since any shades of blue are my favorite. Will always get a blue one as along as Apple will continue use to have them. But when apple changes to a different color then the black color it is.
