Okay, yes, I understand this topic has been beaten to death, but I was just sitting here and happened to notice something about the iphone 4 dock.
We all know Apple has proven itself on numerous accounts for the way the company innovates and integrates all of its technology.
However, if these "bumpers" were supposed to be a part of the iphone 4, and not just a last minute attempted fix, wouldn't you think that all of those product engineers could and would have designed the dock to fit both with and without the bumper on the iphone 4? As a company, if you are marketing two products, probably some of the most popular accessories, you would not want to discourage the consumer by saying, "you can buy this one or you can buy this one, but they won't work together".
It seems like simple product integration.
Just my two cents on yet another reason the bumper was a last minute attempted fix.
