if i had the money i would have so much fun. the sith one is cool too but i would use both at the sam time and kill someone by accident. i was reading on gizmodo that lucasfilm actually acknowledged this and set a statement saying they dont endorse them etc. $300 isnt bad but i need a new portable HD first lol

Actually I had a preorder in for the Acrtic Spyder, but canceled because I thought it was too dangerous....Still though...If an extra $300.00 falls my way I may indulge, though the Sith looks a little cooler.

Are you allowed to buy these in the US? I got into a laser kick a couple years ago and I thought you werent allowed over like 5mW in the US?

It's 100% legal because u have to go through 5 steps to turn the thing on, non the less get it to max power. And the sith isn't red because of the wavelength witch is different for that particular diode witch is made by Sony I believe. And it's in the particular one I posted and the sith is just 2 put together.

Not going to lie just imagine caring that around and then almost getting robbed and the robber just laughs. They would feel bad afterwards, not that iq would do that but I ring it funny

Sarcastic post is sarcastic.

I want one.

Only question: Why wasn't his wall burning up when he pointed the laser at it. I was hoping for his whole place to burn down.

Shouldn't the Sith version be red?

Not to mention you really wouldn't know what color it is in the first place, unless it was burning your eye

I used to work with Class 4 lasers. I've been flashed through safety goggles with a 1W laser before and even with most of the light deflected, I still felt the heat and had a period of 30 mins where my vision was darkened.

I have no clue what this would be used for besides burning things and blinding people.

It takes a while. It's like concentrating sunlight through a magnifying glass. If he'd stopped moving it and let it hit the same spot for a few minutes, the wall would start smoking.

On the other hand, according to the tech specs, if you stand less than 149 meters away from the aperture and aim it at your eye, it only takes a quarter second for it to scar your retina.

Still want one, but I have to save the cash, there nit in stock for 2-4 weeks anyway. The reason i would like one is for vacation i have time to save up.and I notice there us an add at be bottom of the thread that is about lasers now lol

So like, what do you plan to do with it once you have it?
