I think the saddest part is that the Colorado tax payers get to put here up. Too bad they can't seize her assets to offset the cost.

There was a case in north Dallas this week about a woman with a six month old daughter. This [insert string of expletives here] didn't bother feeding her child much more than once or twice a day and the child, at six months old, had gained only one pound since birth.
The baby had begun sucking her thumb (as many babies do) and it angered the woman. To stop the baby from sucking her thumb, scumbag mom coated the thumb with a heavy thick paste of chili powder, cayenne, and other such things. The baby was so starved that she sucked her thumb despite the slathered paste on her thumb and when her throat swelled up from the irritation, the baby suffocated and died.
Scumbag mom was sentenced to 7 years.
So, Colorado mom gets 30 years for contributing to delinquency and north Texas mom gets 7 years for killing her child.
People recover from delinquency. Dead is dead.

How old were those boys? They were in high school so they had to be in the teens, if they were teenagers she should get less time. like i said i have seen real crimes that didnt get that time.
They were in high school, and I think 16 and 17 years old (which is old enough to be married in at least Georgia). So it wasn't legally consensual, I suppose, but kids this age are having sex with each other on a regular basis. They knew what was happening and kept doing it. They were in high school. From what I remember this would have been a dream come true to most any high school boy. I'd have been stoked if my buddies MILF gave me booze and drugs (well weed, I would have refused hard core stuff) then took me to her bedroom. There is really no similar public policy argument to forbid too-young males from having sex. The only reason males are included in the statutory rape laws is to prevent state legislatures from having to deal with the heightened scrutiny of courts if they'd singled out women as a class. Prohibiting younger boys from having sex is pointless from a policy point of view.

I feel she should be held accountable for her actions. These are teenaged boys, and the general rule is "under 18 is a child". But the sentence is extreme...in this case. Murderers and real child molesters get off with less. I know for a fact. Still, at such an immpressionable age an example should be set.

This, plus the fact that it was 8 boys involved (5 of which she had sex with, 3 that were just drugs and alcohol). So there are multiple crimes against multiple victims she's been convicted of. It averages out to about 4 years per victim.
