...of course! I finally visited the SoHo store today in NYC... It's huge. And those Nano's are freaking small! The way you buy stuff is also cool...my friend wanted to get a Midi keyboard, and the employee went somewhere on Apple.com, typed in his employee ID and what he wanted, and that info got sent downstairs to the stock room and they brought it up to the register in a minute or two. Pretty cool! It was also packed...Everyone was checking their Myspaces and email. Anyway, cool place. I'd thought I'd share some pics we took with photobooth! Hope you like :D

why is the last image mirrored?
those photobooth effects look cool, especially with multiple people in the frame.

What do you mean mirrored?

Oh her hat? I don't know. I clicked "normal" on Photobooth. Maybe that's how the iSight is?

Cut the image in half and reflect it across the Y axis

Look at the text on the white hoodie too.

The iSight is programmed to work like a mirror, that way as you move right, your image moved to the right on the screen, otherwise it would be really confusing, move one way and your picture moves the other.

That looks like a fun program to play with. Kind of neat to get pictures of your friends and upload them to the web while at the Apple store. Everything is so hands-on, the best way to sell.

Maybe I will get to visit one of the six Apple stores in Texas before too long.

Scary pictures man.

They sure are. The next to last one has a resemblance to Jim Carrey as he prepares to morph himself into one of his wacko contortionist poses.

Or you could just choose Flip Photo from the menu. :) Or select Automatically Flip All Photos.

Then wouldn't there only be two people in the picture? Do you mean reversed? Mirror usually means half a of the image a|b would turn out like a|a, so that is not the theory that applies to this picture...

My friend told me that it is an inside joke of Apple Store employees that if you go in and start a slow clap then they will follow. I haven't tried it yet but I assume it works.

I'll tell you what the best thing to do in an (American) Apple store is...

...change all the measurement from imperial to metric. Way too much time in the Buffalo Apple Store.

I think Dennis Leary wrote a song about people like me... :D
