the Data Doubler and optical drive

I am planning to buy MBP Early 2011 15" soon. And thinking to put one more hd to replace the optical drive. But I want to know how can I connect the optical drive back to new MBP ? Need to buy a external case for the optical drive ?

Any video or URL can help? Thx a lottttttttt.

It might be easier to just pay $30 and get one of those mini Samsung external drives

It just seems much easier, that way you can store your internal drive somewhere safe and put it back in when you sell the computer in a few years...
