My mouse pointer frequently vanishes on my new MBP.

I then move my fingers off the keyboard and trackpad and move a finger around the trackpad till it re-appears. This takes longer than I'd expect to find it again.

How to
1) Prevent it from disappearing to begin with?
2) Find it faster?

I did go into Accessibility to change the mouse pointer to the fat one with the outline, in case I just wasn't seeing it. But that's not it.

As far as finding it faster, hold a finger down on the trackpad kinda hard and quickly move it back and forth in a small scrubbing motion - the cursor will show up very dark and about an inch in length, making it easier to see. Not sure about why it goes away.

Thank you so much, I'll try this next time!

This hasn't worked for me.

Mouse pointer is disappearing more often now on my new TB MBP 15".
Like the system is freezing for a while.

Most reliable way to get it back so far is one or two 2-fingered taps.
This seems to invoke an accessibility feature that brings the mouse back.

This mouse pointer hibernation seems to be happening a lot more often. Very frustrating.

This tended to happen on my 2012 Air. The only way to get the pointer back was to click on something. Not sure what caused it and it was still happening when I got rid of the laptop. Probably its an issue with MacOS. Never used to happen before El Capitan.
