The Early Edition - Updated Release 6/1 - Does It Do Google Reader Sync?

I'm hearing that this app can pull down information from Google Reader but doesn't in fact sync the information to Google Reader. As such, you could spend an hour reading 100 articles on the iPad and then get home and find that they haven't been marked as read or even greyed out.

Is this correct? Anyone have the new version of Early Edition who can share?
