I've heard that the best solution is to hit the "solo" button on every track you want to export. You have to deselect the same button when you want to go on to another track. If you have a large number of regions, this can be time consuming.

You don't have to do that, because GarageBand automatically saves each track as an AIFF file within your project file. Your project file is considered a package. If you already know how to open a package's contents, feel free to skip

1) In Finder, go to your project's file.
2) Control-click it.
3) In the menu that pops up, select "Show Package Contents."
4) Get Finder to show you the contents of the Media folder that is in your project's file.
5) Ditto for the Audio Files folder that is in the Media folder.

Each region of each track will show up in the form of AIFF files. Do with these as you please.
