iPod touch The end for the ipod touch 2g?

SO am I right in assuming that 4.3 will not be available for the 2g and 4.2.1 will be its last update? Also, their are a few apps on the app store right now only compataible with later models and firmware but when do you think 2g users will become REALLY outdated and most new apps will not run on it?

I highly doubt they will stop supporting it in the foreseeable future, they will simply make it agonizing to use.

I think it will be supported until 5.0. At the rate they sell new ones, devs have little reason to continuously support the older models with updates, etc.
