I love the keys and track pad (11 inch here) The weight has really shocked me though and hope the material lasts for the price of it . Slightly concerned . I’m still 50/50 on keeping
Yeah I also feel the weight is a bit high but as I was playing with this new toy today, I realized the weight is decent enough when I lay down in bed or on a couch and I work on it from my lap.I love the keys and track pad (11 inch here) The weight has really shocked me though and hope the material lasts for the price of it . agreed, I dont get min until tomorrow but its one of the things that kind of sucks. but you can try to get around that using Hey Siri to adjust brightness etc...possible to use some shortcuts if you do a certain task alot. Hoping that IOS 14 would have more keyboard shortcuts to do things like that in lue of the function keys.
dont forget you can also remap keys if you dont use then, for example if you want escape you can remap the globe key etc
Real world view:Here’s 1:1 comparison on top of each other.
Images from apple store website as well
No resize.
Both iPad’s key size match perfectly from the original images just different pitch.
I just align it to the ”b” key.
Surprisingly the 11” is wider but the 12.9” is taller.

Dunno why “clicking” is even still a thing tbh! Enabling tap to click is the first thing I do with every new laptop I’ve owned since that feature was created.I've enabled Tap to Click as the click sound of the trackpad is way too loud for me.
Other than that, this product is basically perfect.
Does the Magic Keyboard work differently then connecting my Magic Trackpad via bluetooth? When I use bluetooth, there is that translucent accessibility dot that opens the menu and is on screen 100% of the time. In all of the videos of the Magic Keyboard I have seen, I don't see that dot anywhere on the screen. Can someone confirm?
I came here to ask if Tap to Click is even possible and happy to hear that it is. How is it?I've enabled Tap to Click as the click sound of the trackpad is way too loud for me.

connected strong enough that using the volume buttons while docked on the Magic Keyboard won’t push the iPad Pro off the Magic keyboard?
I've never understood the point of a backlit keypad. Don't get me wrong it looks nice but other than that it serves no practical purpose. You should be looking at the screen when typing not the keyboard.
Sorry if this is covered earlier in this thread but does anyone know if keyboard brightness can be controlled via an icon in control center?

Not yet I don't think but pretty sure it will be added in future iPadOS release.
Federico Viticci created a shortcut that you can add to your iPad’s home screen to take you directly to the hardware keyboard settings, where backlight brightness can be changed.
It will indeed look like a beat up piece of old rubber in no time. Seems a shame for such a pretty design to be finished in such a disposable manner, but hey, I’m not the guy being paid six plus figures to come up with this stuff so what do I know! Some discolouration at the bottom, and imprints of the edges of the iPad onto the keyboard corners.
I don’t see this case being in good condition after being used for a while.
