Very few to choose and the ones available are terrible. What gives Apple? You can do better.

Always used a jet black wallpaper on my Home Screen and a black based image on my Lock Screen. Never used the Apple ones. Just use whatever I like at the time

A set of images can’t please everyone. Just use a photo to your liking.

I've been using 24 Hour Wallpaper for a few years now. It's got a nice selection of time lapse style landscapes that change throughout the day.

What is the exact name because I can’t find it.

The existing system ones are fine, what were you expecting?

I can't see why they would make a crazy amount when you can grab any image off the internet and use it as a wallpaper.

I use the mountain wallpaper, with Dynamic day & night. Looks pretty cool. If you want some diverse wallpapers, you could try Vellum.

The dynamic wallpapers don’t work on my pro max! They stay daylight only! Any suggestions?
It’s not like the Mac with dynamic wallpaper.

On iOS, they’re just animated and move very slowly, that’s all they do unless you use Shorcuts to change the wallpaper based upon time, but it’s a time consuming thing to set up.

Considering how much storage iPhones contain now days there is little to no reason why not Apple could have every single wallpaper that has been released from iOS 7 till now be stored and available. Now, stock wallpapers have been watered down to nothing more than the dumb images they choose for the packaging of the devices as advertisement. Also, ‘Dynamic’ wallpapers have effectively not changed since their original implementation in iOS 7, and have not had anything new added. And that is important because ‘Live’ wallpapers aren’t even live and you have to tap and hold them to make them play. Who does that? That is really weird if someone were to do that. All the while Android has had true live wallpapers/animations since the very beginning when smartphones first took off. The excuses then that they take up battery life as a reason for their lack of implementation are irrelevant. Even more now then ever being as it is now 2021 i.e. gpu power draw and battery efficiency gains in theory mitigate the disadvantages of a true live wallpaper. Either way regardless Apple.. Please. Get with the times... This is truly starting to be a joke.

Apple is popular, so it shouldn't be difficult to find wallpapers from older OS versions online somewhere. That goes to both iOS and Mac OS.

As for the stock wallpapers these days, yeah, too many of them look like photos, not proper wallpapers for having icons float over
