For me, must-see TV:

* DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES: Say what you will, this show has held up great over these 8 years, and they still make me want for more each week! Awesome cast & writers! Sad to see it go after this season, but I'd say it's fulfilled it's mission.

* GLEE: Still rockin' in the 3rd season. One of the few shows on TV with real energy in it. Music is great, cast is cute, and they have Sue Sylvester!

* MODERN FAMILY & THE MIDDLE: 2 great, funny shows; I look forward to riding with them through their 3rd season! MF deserved all the Emmys it just won!

* AMAZING RACE: Yup - still the tour de force it ever was.

* TWO & A HALF MEN: Never cared for it, but watched it the other night; Kutcher surprised me into believe that it may be worth watching after all. Didn't care as much for the Sheen angle of the show.

* NEW GIRL: Has potential...the one roomate, who keeps taking off his shirt while interviewing potential roomies--he's a hottie; good enough for me to keep coming back for more!

* 2 BROKE GIRLS: OK...been there the other night...done that...not sure if it has staying potential.

* X-FACTOR / CHARLIES ANGELS / PAN AM / BIG BANG THEORY: Eh...we'll see how these go...probably will be on a take 'em or leave'em basis each week.

That's about all really on my hit list.

NCIS was pretty good. Still not Truth or Consequences good, but I enjoyed it.

As you may have noticed from the stand-alone thread, I'm STOKED for Terra Nova. I hope it delivers because I have very high hopes!

Fringe

American Horror Story

CSI (seriously you list the two ****** ones but not the real one?)

I really hope they give some of these shows a chance. They don't even give shows the opportunity to build a fan base anymore. Take Flashforward, for exampe. GREAT TV show that they cut mid-season and sloppily threw and ending together. Person's Unknown was great as well.

OP, you missed a show, and probably my fave from OTA: Mike & Molly.

mike-and-molly-13.jpg

Melissa McCarthy (pictured above, at right) won the Best Lead Actress in a Comedy Emmy for her role in this.

Short synopsis: Two middle-class, plus-size Chicagoans fall in love after meeting at an Overeaters Anonymous meeting. At the end of last season, the title characters became engaged. It's a romantic comedy, and at times rather adult in its dialogue, so you may want to put the kids to bed before watching.

Chuck. Fringe. Son's of Anarchy. Boardwalk Empire. Those are the one's I'm dedicated to so far.

I am however intrigued by Terra Nova and Revenge.

Dont know about anyone else, but I thought Charlie's Angels was awful. I think the acting was very average, and just not good overall.

Of the new shows…

Person of Interest - Enjoyed it. Definitely has potential. DVR set to record.

Prime Suspect - Better than average cop show. Certainly not appointment TV but I'll watch if I'm around.

Whitney- What a steaming pile of ****. Laugh track was pathetic as were most of the jokes. Sad because I like her.

2 Broke Girls- I laughed out loud several times. I'll watch it as it's on after the formerly great HIMYM, which I still watch even though it seems to have run its course.

Nice to see Two and a Half men as well as The Office both have good premieres this past week. Positive sign considering the cast upheaval they both experienced. Jury still out on some of the new shows, Person of Interest has some potential though.

Really excited for Dexter to come back on. Season 6 premiers a week from today. Unfortunately I'll either have to find it streaming or download it (illegally!) in a few weeks because my school doesn't have Showtime.

I liked Prime Suspect, I am a Maria Bello fan so I hope the show does well.

Whitney had some decent jokes but I just about saw the whole pilot from the promos all summer.

2 Broke Girls surprised me, I will give it a go. Fun Fact the show is also produced by Whitney Cummings.
