I've been playing around with a new (to me) search engine called Searx. Similar to XMPP and Invidious, Searx is hosted in public instances, where anyone can configure their own instance and host it for public use. This is yet another way to decentralize and open-source the Internet, which is good for everyone.
I've found this particular instance of Searx (linked above) to be the fastest graphical search engine I've ever used, even on my MDD! Search queries snap back, images load instantaneously, page scrolling is ultra smooth, and websites appear to load even faster than before.
The best part is that, given how gnu.style "focuses on privacy, speed, and security", it is the perfect companion to a foxPEP-enabled browser (which shares the same values).
Here's more about Searx, and here's more about searx.gnu.style ...
