The finder can't quit because some operations are still in progress

Hi
I am wondering if anyone can help me....
Tried to shut down my computer before going to sleep today and got this rather weird message (see attachment)

Anyone know how I can fix it? only application open is the finder
thanks for any help

Did you try to relaunch Finder using Command-Option-Esc, or Force Quit it from Activity Monitor?
