Finally figured out how to activate the iPhone X (if you're still having issues). It's faster to call 1-800-MY-IPHONE. They will then call ATT/Verizon and once you confirm the new iPhone they will activate it instantly. I did this, my wife did this and my brother. It activates the phone instantly.

Don't both clicking the "activate" button for hours. I did it for about three hours then just called in. My wife and I are on Verizon and my brother is on ATT.
 
I had this same issue and calling the 800-MY-IPHONE number is useless. They say call ATT.

So ya, thats not the fix.
 
I wanted to use my old SIM to avoid the upgrade change. Took a couple of hours but it activated 10 minutes ago.
 
So while waiting for ATT the second time since the first dork hung up on me I tried a different zip code and it worked. The zip code that worked is not my billing zip code. :mad:
