I really wish Apple would bring the features of the Messages app in Yosemite to iOS.

I would love to have my yahoo, gtalk, skype and jabber all added to the native messages app instead of having to download so many different chat clients.

Not a fan of any other clients. There are too many and honestly, they need to be whittled down to 1 or 2 at most. The main reason that won't happen is any update they do on the backend, could and would break the client connection and then Apple has to deal with that. It's not worth the time or effort when solutions like this already exist - excluding iMessage.

at the same time, a mobile device has limited (especially) screen size vs your glorious mac with an hdtv, & i dont want yahoo & microsoft skype etc garbage shoved into an APPLE NATIVE app..

But the feature is already there in Yosemite. I added my work XMPP account to messages last night.
